Kimberly Goldson is an acclaimed Brooklyn-born and based womenswear fashion designer who gained recognition as a finalist on Season 9 of Project Runway. Co-founding her eponymous brand, KG, in 2012 with her sister, Shelly Powell, she has showcased her designs in luxury retailers like Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, and Intermix. Kimberly's extensive career includes collaborations with notable brands such as Nike/LeBron James, @BarbieStyle, and Chevrolet.
the "Hairitage" collection
The heralded “Hairitage” Collection, born from the dreams (literally) and imagination of the #KGSisters during the pandemic of 2020, was created to pay homage to the black women that have held families and communities together for centuries. This collection, which has become a cult favorite and acclaimed by the fashion community, will live on in limited drops and travel to cultural events around the globe.
Fashion Dreams To Reality
Beyond her design work, she initiated the Fashion Dreams To Reality fashion program, empowering disadvantaged youth in NYC to explore creative expression, fashion design, and entrepreneurial pursuits for potential careers in the industry. Kimberly Goldson is dedicated to inspiring others to “dream bigger and turn those dreams into reality!”
